Bonnie Kraham and Ray Shoemaker are the duly elected Wallkill Town Justices, serving four-year terms. The Judgeship is a part-time position and, under the New York State Constitution, both attorneys and non-attorneys are eligible once they have been certified by NYS Office of Court Administration. Additionally, each Justice is required to take a twelve-hour training course each year to maintain their certification.

Due to its location and population, the Wallkill Justice has one of the highest volumes of cases in the state, ranging from traffic infractions to misdemeanors under the Penal Law and other statutes. The Court also has civil jurisdiction including small claims with a monetary limit of $3000.00. Currently four Court sessions are held each week and the Court can be reached at (845) 692-7822.
