CORRESPONDENCE

To: Supervisor John Ward & Town Board Members
From: MaryLynn Hunt, Planning Board Secretary

On February 13, 2003 the above noted applicant posted a $70,000 Improvement Bond for site work improvements. Based upon an inspection of the site by our engineers, McGoey, Hauser & Edsall I would like to recommend that performance bond amount be reduced to $16,300. I have attached a copy of Mr. McGoey's memo for your review. Thank you for your consideration.

I would like to take time to thank your department for the increased patrols in the Pocatello area. As a home owner for 30 years I have watched the department expand for the needs of the Town. I feel your current patrols are having a positive impact in our area.

As a commissioner and active firefighter in the Pocatello Fire Department I see the professionalism and the quick response of your department and the officers are great to work with.

Thank you for helping make our area safe.

SUPERVISOR WARD: I received a certificate from the Orange County United Way this week. They want to recognize the efforts of the Town increasing our contributions.

MOTION BY: Mr. Ward to sign two contracts with the Boys & Girls Club - One for recreation services and the other for Summer Camp.

I am requesting authorization to solicit bids for a replacement for the Crotty Road culvert. The old concrete and stone culvert is cracked and the headwall on one side is separating.

Funds are available in this years budget, the total purchase price of the culvert is estimated at $50,000.00. This replacement should be undertaken as soon as possible to minimize any safety hazards.

COUNCILMAN DEPEW: This lighting district is being put on High Barney Road - five lots. Years past there was a municipal light there which created a hang-out situation. Residents do not want us to approve this lighting district.

COUNCILMAN KING: Residents did show up here at the last meeting to discuss their concerns.

COUNCILMAN VALENTIN: Historically, lights have been used to prevent hand-outs.

COUNCILMAN KING: This is a country setting. I don't see a need for a lighting district.
