Re: Surplus Equipment Sale results

Recently, I have requested permission from the Town Board and was granted permission to classify two national 84” Mowers and one Cushman 36” topdresser as “surplus equipment” at the Town of Wallkill Golf Club. In addition, I was authorized to attempt to sell these surplus items through a sealed bid process conducted with the Town of Wallkill Town Clerk.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2003, bids were opened, read aloud and recorded by our Town Clerk. Shawangunk Country Club was the highest responsible bidder on each of the two

March 27, 2003

National 84” Mowers at eight hundred and fifty dollars apiece, for a total of seventeen hundred dollars. No bids were received for the Cushman 36” Topdresser.

Therefore, I am requesting your approval to accept the highest responsible bid for purchasing the two National 84” Mowers to Shawangunk Country Club. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Re: Real Property – SBL: 49-1-4.22

I have owned the above described real property, together with Mrs. Mildred Isseks, since 1964. This property, because it was adjacent to an operating railroad, was zoned MI. The Erie Railroad which abutted this property has been out of service for many years and all of the tracks have been removed. Ingrassia Road, which bisects the property, is primarily a residential area from that point until it terminates at the VanBurenville Road.

We would request that the zoning of the above parcel be changed to RA, or whatever residential zoning the Town Board feels is appropriate. We feel that this change would be in keeping with the existing character of this area.

If there are any questions, or if you desire further information, please contact me. I would appreciate it greatly of you would advise me of what action, if any, is taken by the Board.

To: Mr. John Ward
From: Jonathan Jefferson, Middletown High School

Again this year, we would like to make a request for the use of the Wallkill Golf Course for our Middletown High School Golf Team. We will have approximately nine matches starting in early April and ending in late May that consist of nine holes played by a total of eight to ten participants.

Many of our athletes live in the Town of Wallkill and already play the Wallkill course. This activity would give us a home field advantage. We would also like to be able to practice with a nine hole round starting at 2:45 PM and would conclude at approximately
4:30 PM. As the practices and matches are only nine holes, they move very quickly.

If these arrangements meet with your approval, please call or write me to confirm. Thank you for your assistance.
