COMMITTEE
REPORTS:
Councilman
King; Golf Course sales for March $57,013.00. Master plan committee
has been selected. The following people will represent the special
interest and the Wards. They are Roseann Sullivan, John P. Cieslwitz,
Charles Elmes, Dr. Robert Jaffee, Kate Fox, Clark Najac, Richard
Hutchinson, John Curachek and Arlene Green. I would like to thank
everybody who came out and participated in the interviews that
Mr. Depew and I
April 11, 2002
had.
They will be offshoots of this committee concerning farmland protection
and we will be in contact with other people to form farmland protection
committee.
Councilman
Valentin; remind everyone that the Little League parade is this
Saturday. It starts at 9 o' clock at Stephen's Ave. park. At the
end of the parade everyone will meet at the Little League Park
at the field there will be honorable mentions, dedications and
naming of these fields and unveiling of the monument. I just wanted
to add that a big thanks to Dan and his crew on the highway and
parks department even the golf crew. I keep getting compliments
every time I talk to the Little League and residents there that
are just so impressed. Everyone has just come together to make
this happen on Saturday and it's a reflection on you Dan, and
I just want to thank you and everyone else underneath you.
Councilman
McLean; Councilman Valentin, Chief Hertman and myself met with
a group from Greenway Terrace and Patio Road in an on going attempt
there to help the residents solve some of their problems and discuss
the issues and find some cause of action for them. This past Tuesday,
I met with Mobile Life and the Town of Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance
Corp. to discuss the problem with billing, I'll make a report
on that later on. Water emergency to be posted on signboards at
Howells Fire House.
Councilman
Depew; would like to thank all the people who applied to the Master
Plan Review Committee. There were so many people who applied for
different reasons all of them were concerned citizens and it was
really tough. The final decision was made by John and me and it
was hard to decide who really cared about the Town and really
wanted to be there. Hopefully we chose people on the committee
who could work together and with our planner and who will be able
to move forward in the town. The Human Rights Committee meets
the 4th Monday of the month. Jay McClintock doing a great job
at the Golf Course.
