To: Supervisor Ward
From: Wally Beach, Jr., Stop & Shop Supermarkets

Stop & Shop Supermarkets has been a supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation since 1996. Last year we successfully raised $1,040,000. This year our goal is to raise $1,100,000.00. One of the tools that we are utilizing is Commerford’s Kids Funfair. The Funfair donates a portion of the proceeds to benefit Stop & Shop’s Community Programs, which will help fund our 2003 JDRF campaign. We would like the Kid’s Funfair to play at our Middletown, NY store located at 310 Rte 211 East. The dates we are looking to hold the fair are: June 5, 6, 7 and 8. I have received approval from Art Hooper representative from CE Wallkill 2002 LLC to allow the Kid’s Fair to be held as long as the Town gives approval. If you require any additional information please call me at 617-721-9632 or 800-554-5635 ext. 8418. I appreciate your help and support with our efforts to raise money for this worthy cause.
