Town of Wallkill
Parks & Recreation Survey Results
February 2001

The Town of Wallkill Parks and Recreation Committee prepared and distributed this survey to a random sampling of 1,150 single family homeowners within the Town. The primary goals in conducting the survey were to:

    1. establish priorities for future park improvements
    2. determine which park facilities residents have utilized
    3. determine what activities currently available at Town facilities are
    4. most popular
    5. determine the age groupings within households responding
    6. verify that all areas of the Town were represented by the survey
    7. solicit random comments from residents on our Parks and Recreation facilities

Of the 1,150 surveys distributed, 312 responses were received (27%), and a summary of the responses is outlined below:

Of the 417 streets and roads within the Town of Wallkill, responses were received from 186 of them.
