The Receiver of Taxes is responsible for the collection of over 10,000 Tax Bills for properties in the Town. All powers and duties of the Receiver of Taxes are defined in the New York State Real Property Tax Law.
Receiving your Tax Bills
Taxpayers should receive their tax bills the first week in January. If your tax bill is not received, you may contact the tax office at 845-692-7840 and a new bill will be forwarded. You may also go online to www.egov.basny.com/wallkill to print your tax bill and obtain payment information. For School Tax information you need to contact your School District.
Failure to receive a property tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of their responsibility to pay tax bill or any resulting fees due at the time of payment, Real Property Tax Law 922.

Payment collected with2% penalty plus $2.00
We will collect in person Jan 2nd thru March 31st from 9am – 4pm at 99 Tower Dr. Bldg. A Middletown NY 10941, payments may be mailed to the same.
By law we are unable to accept payments after March 31st Postmarks are accepted
No Partial Payments or Installments
Credit Cards and Online Payments are accepted
