The Town Board, comprised of one supervisor and four councilmen, is the governing body of the Town.
The Board meets every fourth Thursday of the month at the Town Hall and also meets when there is a special need. The meetings are open to the public and are covered by the press.
The town is represented in the New York State Legislature by the Assemblywoman from the 100th District, Aileen Gunter , the State Senator of the 42nd District James Skoufis and the U.S. Senators Kirstin Gillibrand and Charles Schumer. In addition, the congressional representative is Pat Ryan.
The County of Orange is governed by a County Executive, Steve Neuhaus, elected at large, and County Legislature. The County is divided into 21 districts of which four districts encompass portions of the Town. Our County Legislatures are Richard Smith, Tom Pahucki, and Michael Paduch.
